Our Attempt at Fireworks
So, we tried to do the whole firework thing at our cul-de-sac on the evening of the 4th.
The kids were soooo excited all day. They even wanted to start before the sun went down.
And then, it started sprinkle. Then, the down pour of rain and thunder started.
The kids were having so much fun that it didn't even phase them.

We should have taken our flag down, but it actually looked pretty beautiful that night in the rain.

The Fourth in Glendora
This year, we had a really fun time together in Glendora. We watched the GRAND (in exaggeration) Parade of Glendora. It was soooo awesome that it only lasted 14 minutes.

The kids sat together on the curb and enjoyed the show.

We got to see the tactical truck for the Glendora PD. Also,

We got to see our favorite Glendora Police Officer. Oh, yeah, not to mention that I almost got a ticket from his commanding officer because of a parking violation. Oops!! Thanks to Papa, he fixed that for me.

The kids then went to the pet shop with Grammie Lyn and Auntie Jo. They had a fun time.
Luke really liked the bunnies!!! He asked if we could take one home with us. Well, you know that answer to that question.....

Troy asked me to take this picture of him. He thought that it would be a handsome picture of him, and yes, it was.
Happy Birthday, America!!
